Foal Auction Prinsjesdag auctions Millenium stallion foal out of half-sister Dutch champion TC Athene

The selected dressage foals from Foal Auction Prinsjesdag 2016 seem to have everything they need to start successfully in a few years' time at the Dutch Dressage Championships and the World Championship selections that will take place this week in Ermelo. The beautiful black colt La Baule-STRH has perhaps the most in common with some of the most striking horses in Ermelo this weekend. His dam Edelweiss-STR is the half-sister of the brand new Dutch champion Young Riders TC Athene ridden by Jeanine Nieuwenhuis and the KWPN-approved Governor who finished second under Adelinde Cornelissen in the five-year-old dressage horses.

The bred by Jan Streppel and Stephan Haarman La Baule STRH (Millenium x Zhivago) is not only bred out of the half-sister of TC Athene and Governor, but his grandmother Orléans is also the full sister of Jerich Parzival who started the Dutch Dressage Championships under Adelinde Cornellissen with 76.88% in the Grand Prix. This dam line is not only registered in the collection of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag via La Baule STRH, this successful line is also represented via three descendants of the very talented Governor (Totilas x Jazz).

One of the most strikingly bred descendants of Governor in the Prinsjesdag collection is Liquid Gold Utopia – a filly out of the Negro daughter Why o me Utopia. The full sister of Why o me Utopia is none other than Hexagon's Vinegra (Negro x De Niro), who competes at Grand Prix level under Thamar Zweistra. Grand Prix genes are fully represented at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, for example: Louis 14 Sollenburg (For Romance x OO Seven) out of the Grand Prix mare Astrid Sollenburg, or the colt Luck Pleasure D (Dark Pleasure x Contango) whose dam Olympia W already produced the Grand Prix dressage horses Arthur of Ashley Holzer and Wilton of Anna Buffini and is also a descendant of the world famous Endy line. And don't forget the colt either Look at Me (Charmeur x Havidoff) – a half-brother of Imke Schellekens-Bartels' Grand Prix dressage horse Toots, who is currently ridden by the Japanese Akane Kuroki.

The dam lines of several prominent approved stallions are also strongly represented in the collection of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. Take the filly for example Latin music KL (Le Vivaldi x Don Frederico), bred out of the half-sister of Kristina Sprehe's Grand Prix stallion Desperados FRH, who is also the sire of the colt Lightning Texel W (ds. Krack C) and the colt Demario W (ds. Painted Black). Also the filly Luresia WD (Charmeur x Krack C) bred out of the direct dam line of the KWPN-approved Dream Boy and the colt Last Minute (Dante Weltino x Jazz) bred out of the half-sister of the foundation sire Rousseau are certainly worth mentioning. In addition, the very interesting fillies Lirava (Capri Sonne Jr. x Scandic) bred out of the same dam as KWPN performance topper Giovanni and Lanzarote (Dream Boy x Jazz ) – the full sister of the sadly deceased reserve champion of the KWPN Stallion Selection 2016 Ireland – under the hammer on Wednesday 14 September at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag.

The foals mentioned above are just a few of the excellent dressage collection of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag 2016! All pedigrees of the selected foals can be found on www.prinsjesdag.eu and via the auction list on HorseTelex. If you cannot wait for the auction day on Wednesday 14 September in Ermelo, you are cordially invited to take a look at the photo/video day of the dressage foals on Friday 22 July at Equestrian Center Gert van den Hoorn at Asselseweg 35 in Kootwijk.
