Foal Auction Prinsjesdag celebrates 25th anniversary with free breeding

2017 is a special year for the Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, this year the 25ste edition of the auction. Various activities are planned around this anniversary this year, the kick-off will be during the KWPN Stallion Inspection. The Foal Auction Prinsjesdag has a special promotion for breeders and interested parties.

After the KWPN stallion selection from 1 to 4 February in Den Bosch, a breeding stallion of a dressage stallion and a jumping stallion will be raffled among everyone who has registered his or her (unborn) foal for the selection and/or has registered for the newsletter at the foal auction stand.

The winners can choose from one of the stallions that will be approved this spring during the KWPN performance test. Although Foal Auction Prinsjesdag often auctions foals from proven stallions, the board is very supportive of the use of a young, talented stallion from performance families. Which young prince suits your mare best? Everyone is also welcome at the stand for information, coffee and/or a drink.

Interesting embryo during stallion selection

The successful online auction www.embryoauction.com, which is part of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, will start 2017 with the sale of an embryo by Cicero Z out of the international showjumping horse supplier Nienke RV. The auction will start on Tuesday January 24th and will end on Sunday February 5th at 8pm.

The embryo has excellent genes. Cicero Z (s. Carthago Z) is a true foundation stallion of Stoeterij Zangersheide and the 22-year-old ster-preferent performance mare Nienke RV (Emilion x Jason) of Stoeterij Renken has already produced more than seven international showjumpers.

Whether in combination with Cavalier, Concorde or Cardento, Nienke RV produces a top jumping horse. Besides the already well-known Grand Prix show jumpers from Nienke RV, such as Sanne RV (Hans Dieter Dreher), Toscane RV (Darragh Kerins) and Wayne RV (Jimmy Torano), horses such as Balans RV (Hillary McNerney), Champion de Quidam RV (Maureen Bonder & Sofie Yderstraede Bucka) and De Flipper RV (Petronella Andersson & Daniel Deusser) more and more.

Two Prinsjesdag jumping stallions on to Den Bosch

The stallions Johnnie Walker F and O'Neil vd Bisschop, auctioned at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, both earned a ticket for the second viewing of the KWPN Stallion Selection in Den Bosch. The extremely interestingly bred stallions from the breeding of the Florijn and Stal van den Bisschop family respectively convinced the KWPN Stallion Selection Committee.

Johnnie Walker F (Cidane x Quidam de Revel) is owned by Egbert Schep from Tull en 't Waal and descends from the talented Heartbreaker son Cidane. The Florijn family from Geesteren (Gelderland) bred Johnnie Walker F out of the elite EPTM(spr) mare Cinerma – also a half sister of the international Grand Prix show jumper Trento ridden by the Mexican Santiago Lambre.

O'Neil vd Bisschop (Diamant de Semilly x Ogano Sitte) is registered with Ben van Mierlo from Koningslust and has its origin in Belgium. This excellently bred Diamant de Semilly son was born in the stables of the De Craene family from Melle. O'Neil vd Bisschop's dam, Jade vd Bisschop, already jumps at international 1.40m level and is the half sister of the famous mare Secret Love Wonderland. This Libero H daughter already produced the stallions Dulf van den Bisschop, Maestro van den Bisschop and Arizona, as well as the international Grand Prix show jumpers VDL Holland van den Bisschop (Remco Been) and Estina (Samantha McIntosh).

Three Prinsjesdag stallions round further at Oldenburger Stallion Inspection

The dressage stallion Just Romance and the jumping stallions Jordan Air F and Chabalou IK will all return for the second round of the Oldenburg Stallion Selection in Vechta in November.

Chabalou IK (Chaman x Contender), bred by Ingo Klassen, was the only son of Ludger Beerbaum's top stallion Chaman to advance one round, while Jordan Air F (Air Jordan x Contendro I), bred by A. Florijn, was the only Air Jordan son who survived the first round of the Oldenburger Verband.

Just Romance (For Romance I x Jazz) is a son of the famous mare Rita Morka, dam of the Grand Prix dressage horse Wamorkus and the approved stallions Camorkus and Citango. Just Romance was auctioned as an embryo at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and is now invited for the second round of the Oldenburger Stallion Selection.
