The mare Hotruschels Taonga (by Hoftanz), auctioned at the National Foal Auction Prinsjesdag in 2008, showed a very good appearance on Wednesday 9 May during the IBOP in Luttenberg. She scored no less than 81 points for her performances under saddle and also became a star with 80 points for conformation.
The four-year-old mare from the breeding of the late Spekenbrink from Enter came into the hands of Willeke Bos van Stal 104 BV in Wijdewormer at the auction for 4,000 euros. This proves that you can also buy a topper at the National Foal Auction Prinsjesdag for a decent price because the selection requirements are very high. Due to the motto 'the power of performance' and the aim to offer high-quality foals to the buyer, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag is still one of the best foal auctions in the Netherlands.
Hotruschels Taonga, bred out of Otruschels (Welt Hit II x Rubinstein), was described by the jury as a 'charming, bloody mare with a lot of expression, a very nice forehand and three clean basic gaits'. She moves very tactfully, lightly and upwards. The highest score was an 8.5 for the canter.
