The Foal Auction Prinsjesdag took place over a month ago. The board and the organization can look back on a beautiful day and a successful auction. At the moment many foals are still being delivered and we are in the final phase. We are of course already looking forward to the 2015 edition.

We would like to receive your opinion (buyer, seller, spectator, etc.) about the 2015 auction. The points that you have experienced as positive, but of course also the points that you think could be improved. Besides that we find this interesting for the development of the auction, we would like to share some opinions on our website and Facebook page. The KWPN stallion selection committee for jumping has just designated the stallion Edinburg (Vleut x Darco) for the performance test. In 2009, the Vleut son, bred by the Lindeboom-Meijer Combination, was sold at the National Foal Auction Prinsjesdag.

The dam of this stallion is the national show jumper Olympic Queen (Darco). Before her career, Olympic Queen already produced the national show jumper Surprise. Granddam Firstlady (Wisconsin) is known as the dam of the international showjumper Nirvana (Concorde) and as granddam of the international showjumping stallions Tyson (Numero Uno) and Tadmus (Calvados). A proven dam line to which the auction motto 'Power of Performance' applies.

Also this year two interesting foals from this mare line will be auctioned. A Carom from Kicky Queen (Numero Uno) with the fantastic name I Love You. Kikcy Queen is the full sister of the stallion Tyson. The second foal from this line is a descendant of Verdi combined with the mare Kickyqueen. Kickyqueen is Tyson's mother.

Several finals of both the PAVO and the VION Cup will be held today. A number of foals sold in the past have qualified for the finals.

With a points average of 25 there is only a difference of 0.7 with the number 1 of the intermediate classification. The final of the four-year-old horses promises to be an exciting spectacle this afternoon.

The five-year-old KWPN stallion Desperado (Vivaldi x Havidoff), who was the big favorite for a medal at the World Championships in Verden last weekend, but missed the podium due to mistakes, yesterday finished in the lead in the semi-final for the Pavo Cup during the KWPN Horse Days in Ermelo. Under Emmelie Scholtens, the black stallion received a total of 94.5 points.

On September 17, Insider (Desperado x Stedinger) will be auctioned. Insider's dam is the half-sister of Hans Peter Minderhoud's Olympic dressage horse Nadine. This proven line combined with the very talented Desperado produces an interesting dressage foal.
