Westphalian approved Irish Whiskey to Zangersheide
MÜNSTER-HANDORF – A successful week for the two-year-old stallion Irish Whiskey (Darco x Voltaire) who was auctioned on Prinsjesdag in 2013. In Münster-Handorf, the breeding product of Xavier van Heertum from Liempde earned his Westphalian breeding license on Wednesday and was sold in the auction by Studfarm Zangersheide. A success story for Irish Whiskey, who was already one of the most striking foals at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag in 2013.
Studfarm Zangersheide says about Irish Whiskey Z: “In order to provide the collection with top Belgian blood as well, Studfarm Zangersheide invested at the Westphalian Stallion Inspection in a son of the legendary progenitor Darco. At the stallion selection, the beautiful Darco son was one of the best jumping horses. He excelled in his scope, bascule and quality.”
Irish Whiskey comes from a real performance line and his dam Votoska Z (Voltaire x Notaris) is the half-sister of the KWPN-approved stallion Pierrot and the international show jumper Royal-Rose ridden by Steven Whitaker.
