Foal Auction Prinsjesdag started in 1992 with the aim of contributing to the sale of foals for breeders. We have more ambition than ever and aim to create the best/most leading foal auction in Europe, with an international buyer audience. With the best dressage and jumping foals that live up to our motto “the Power of Performance”.
The Power of Performance also means that we apply strict criteria when compiling the annual foal collection. Our selectors only select foals from strong mare lines. From stallions that excel in international sport or have proven to inherit an above-average sport aptitude. But even more importantly, from dam lines in which sports performances in direct line are very strongly anchored.
Chair
Arjan van der Waaij has been chairman of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag since 2014. In daily life he runs his company Van der Waaij Makelaars & Rentmeesters and together with his wife and sons the horse company Waaij Stud in Eemnes in Utrecht.

Treasurer
Gerard Koks took over the NVP treasurership from Jos Ligthart in 2012, after he took over all his stable in Warmenhuizen in 2010 together with his brother and two sisters. The main activities of this stable De Debbehoeve are boarding stables, training and trading of dressage horses.
“I saw taking a seat on the board of the NVP as a great opportunity to learn even more and gain experience in the breeding of dressage horses, which I have always been very interested in.”

Co Out from Westwoud did not have to think long about Willem Dekker's request to be part of the NVP board.
“I said yes because I really like breeding. You meet new people all the time and you see many foals. You gain a lot of information along the way that I apply in my own breeding. As a board member I hope to be able to make a small contribution to a good foal auction. Do the customers think the same about the foals as we do? But we can't complain in recent years."

From 2019, the board of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag will be strengthened by Gert Wezenberg, who is involved in daily life with the family business Wezenberg Groep and who is also committed to the successful breeding of Wezenberg Stables.
