Prinsjesdag Foal Auction presents spectacular collection of 84 foals
On the traditional third Tuesday of September, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag will auction an impressive collection of 84 dressage and jumping foals in Ermelo. On Tuesday 17 September, the entire collection will be auctioned by Koen Olaerts and bidding is possible both in the hall and online. The collection, put together by Cas van der Oord and Lauw van Vliet (dressage) and Willem van Hoof and Bob Janssens (jumping) respectively, is imbued with performance genes and the Olympic Games in Paris are also a striking theme.
39 dressage foals and 45 jumping foals were selected in recent months for the annual Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. In the dressage direction, one can count on excellent models and a great deal of movement talent. But also genetically, there are particularly interesting foals passing by.
Full brother Hermès NOP
Take for example the colt Unlimited Game; none other than the full brother of Dinja van Liere's Hermès NOP. At the Olympic Games in Paris, the bronze medallist of the World Championships in Herning achieved one of the highlights of his career. Under Dinja van Liere, the Easy Game son scored an impressive 88.432 percent in the Freestyle to Music, which meant that Van Liere and Hermès NOP came in a spectacular fourth in the individual competition – just missing out on the podium.
Another impressive colt is for example Ultravox – a son of Fynch Hatton out of the half-sister of foundation stallion Ampère. Also not to be forgotten is Undercover W – a son of Dante Weltino, who both competed in Paris and saw his son Jagerbomb individually finish eighth. In addition, Undercover W's mother performed at Grand Prix level.
Striking dressage fillies
For the lover of fillies in the dressage direction, Veulenveiling Prinsjesdag has also lavished out a lot. Think for example of Usina van 't Studutch, a daughter of Blue Hors Romanov out of the full sister of For Romance I and many more. Or Ulymbria L – an Escamillo daughter out of the half-sister of Grand Prix stallion Blue Hors Don Olymbrio. And also the striking Kjento daughter Upwood Tarpania – a half-sister of the approved stallions Dutch Dream and Kingsley Tarpania.
Olympic stallions in show jumping direction
The Olympic stallions Ermitage Kalone and Uricas van de Kattevennen are also generously represented in the jumping collection. Ermitage Kalone presents no less than two daughters and three sons, while Uricas presents three daughters and one son. One striking example is Upgrade Leva WD – a Uricas filly out of the half-sister of Hernandez TN NOP Of Eleanor JT Z – a daughter of Ermitage Kalone who goes back to the top dam line of Narcotique de Muze II.
Filly out of Kirby de Muze – sister of Nimrod & Levis
Many more interesting fillies belong to the collection. Take for example Usha van 't Reevediep; a beautifully modelled filly by the world-famous Mylord Carthago from the excellent lineage of Usha van 't Roosakker. She goes back via Echo van 't Spieveld, Spartacus TN and For Pleasure to the 1.60m show jumping mare Electra van 't Roosakker. Another excellent filly is Jenny KCX Berghoeve Z. This daughter of the championship horse Jaguar van de Berghoeve (Emerald out of the sister of Mylord Carthago and Bamako de Muze) is directly bred from top mare Kirby de Muze. Under Marit Skollerud Cox, Kirby jumped up to 1.50m level and she is the half-sister of the Olympic show jumping horse Nimrod de Muze of Pedro Veniss and the show jumping phenomenon Levis de Muze of Ioli Mytilineou.
