Azure SDH Z auction topper for 185,000 euros at CSI Ommen
The five-year-old top talent Azure SDH Z proved to be the auction topper in the auction of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and Hendrik-Jan Schuttert Sporthorses on Saturday evening. For 185,000 euros the Apardi daughter leaves for the United States and comes into the ownership of the prestigious Double H Farm. 'Coincidentally', exactly one week after their legendary HH Azur retired, five-year-old Azure SDH Z now comes into the ownership of Double H Farm. The most expensive foal was Torre W - a son of Balou du Reventon. This one sold for 28,000 euros and goes to the stable of Peter Charles.
Seven foals and four particularly talented show jumpers came under the auction hammer of Koen Olaerts on the summer Saturday evening of CSI Ommen. With the top price of 185,000 euro for Azure SDH Z, this five-year-old mare became the auction topper of the showjumping horses, while the highest bid for a foal came from Torre W. This exceptional colt by Balou du Reventon out of the sister of Emerald and Nixon van 't Meulenhof was knocked off at 28,000 euro. At the stable of Peter Charles, Torre W will get a wonderful opportunity and will join his sire Balou du Reventon. Whether Harry, Scarlett or Sienna Charles will soon take the reins, the future will tell.
"A wonderfully beautiful evening with lots of atmosphere and good prizes. We are very pleased that the jumpers are going to several good stables and in particular that Azure is going to such a top stable as Double H Farm”, says Hendrik-Jan Schuttert. The committee of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag can also look back on the result with satisfaction. "A very nice foretaste of the foal auction in September," says chairman Arjan van der Waaij. "We once again had a very pleasant cooperation with family Schuttert and the team of CSI Ommen and are very content with the auction result achieved."
Among the show jumpers, not only Azure SDH Z was popular. The five-year-old Harley VDL daughter Nikita van de Driehoekhoeve - an own breeding product of the Schuttert family - also saw a lot of interest and was knocked off at 75,000 euros. The talent of the rough diamond No Surrender (Jardonnay VDL x Classe VDL) also caught the eye and this five-year-old gelding was knocked off at 65,000 euros. This brought the average of the riding horses to 94,000 euros.

A nice sum was also raised for children's farm Ommen. The auction item was a pregnancy of one of Handelshuis Schuttert's sows and was sold for 4,400 euro.
