Foal Auction Prinsjesdag supports Kinderboerderij Ommen

It's almost time: on July 8, the auction will take place during CSI Ommen, where 7 interesting foals and 4 talented showjumping horses will go under the hammer of Koen Olaerts. The presentation of the showjumping horses will take place on Thursday evening, and the foals will be presented to you on Saturday evening. The auction will start at 9:00 PM. The proceeds from the first auction lot are traditionally donated to a good cause. The chosen charity for this edition is Kinderboerderij Ommen.

Kinderboerderij Ommen is a meeting place for people of all ages, but especially for children, there is a lot to experience. There are always animals to pet, and there is often the opportunity to help take care of the animals. This way, children who cannot have pets at home can still become familiar with animals in this beautiful green environment. In keeping with the spirit of the charity, Handelshuis Schuttert has made the embryos of their sow named Sientje available as an auction lot.

The sow's due date is August 15, 2023. Only when Sientje has given birth will we know how many piglets there are. On average, a sow gives birth to 15 piglets, and Handelshuis Schuttert will raise them for you free of charge until they are 10 weeks old and weigh approximately 25 kg each. Once the piglets are 10 weeks old, they will be delivered to you within the Netherlands. If you prefer to receive the market value of the piglets, that is also possible. In that case, you will receive the weekly price at that moment. As an indication, the current weekly price is €100 per piglet.
