Three Zangersheide approved stallions in one fell swoop
At the spring inspection of Studbook Zangersheide, no fewer than three stallions from the 2015 collection of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag were approved for breeding. One of these, the striking Baloubet du Rouet son Kazan, was subsequently purchased by Studfarm Zangersheide, which further increases the chance of a bright future.
The Kazan bred by Jan Lamers (Baloubet du Rouet out of the elite sport-jump performance mare Sereuza by Heartbreaker) comes from a real performance line and was therefore easily selected for the auction as a foal. This year he was already selected for the KWPN performance test and shortly afterwards Zangersheide also gave the green light to this jumping cannon. Judy-Ann Melchior immediately caught her eye in Lanaken on the very convincing jumping and genetically valuable Kazan, and bought him for the stud farm.
Two Toulon sons
The genetically interesting, good jumping T.King Toulon WZ (Toulon out of Berlottie W elite IBOP-jump by Emilion) may also serve as a breeding stallion under the flag of Studbook Zangersheide. The Toulon son, bred by Peter and José van Wegen, is closely related to the top show jumper Vincidat (by Guidam) and was purchased by Jonny Roelofsen at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. Together with breeder Wim ten Pas he successfully introduced him in Zangersheide. The Toulon son Hongkong B (out of Zita van Contender) also earned the breeding license at Zangersheide. This stallion, bred by Mr. Mangelschots, comes from the direct line of the Grand Prix horse Kira III (by Carthago) and was part of the Prinsjesdag collection in 2015 under his birth name Tocar. At the auction he was sold to Egbert Schep and today he is trying his luck at Hengststation Bachl.
AES approved
Last month, the King of Power SQBS auctioned in 2015 also provided some good news. This Fellini son (ds.Uphill), bred by the Spierings family, came into the hands of Cindy Schuurmans at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and was admitted to the breeding service at the AES last month. As a foal, this stallion, who is related to the Small Tour horse Patser (by Jazz), was already a huge eye-catcher.
