Successes for Sundance and This Lux at Jumping De Achterhoek
QUESTION: Two horses auctioned at Prinsjesdag jumped into the spotlight last weekend at the international youth competition at the equestrian complex Equestrian Center Lichtenvoorde. Under the talented rider Emiel Richter, the Sundance (Padinus x Ekstein) auctioned at Prinsjesdag in 2005 stood out, while veteran This Lux (Lux x Wisconsin) still competed under the French Victoria Tachet.
The ten-year-old mare Sundance was born as Alana and is the half-sister of, among others, the KWPN-approved stallion Vincenzo. This daughter of Padinus came under the hammer at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag in 2005 and had an international breakthrough this year under the eighteen-year-old Emiel Richter.
Last Friday, Richter and Sundance immediately got the hang of it and took second place in the U25 1.40 m Morssinkhof Rymoplast Prize. In the Grand Prix on Saturday night, Sundance was hit again. The mare delivered a fantastic clear round in the basic course and came in seventh place due to a fault in the jump-off.
The now fifteen-year-old This Lux (Lux x Wisconsin) of the French rider Victoria Tachet was still in top condition last weekend. The blood relative of toppers such as Tyson, Nirvana, Tadmus and the KWPN-approved stallion Edinburgh jumped double clear in the team competition for juniors and thus made an important contribution to the team victory of Team Europe 2. This Lux previously jumped internationally with, among others, Zoï Snels and Louise Tacchet.

Ridden by the talented rider Emiel Richter Sundance (Padinus x Ekstein), sold at Prinsjesdag 2005, impressed throughout the weekend, while the experienced This Lux (Lux x Wisconsin), ridden by France's Victoria Tachet, still showed off his great shape.
