Last week we already gave a detailed description of the first dressage horse embryos, including the current sale of an embryo by Fürstenball out of Edward Gal's former top-class mare Sisther de Jeu. In the showjumping direction a similarly interesting embryo is for sale this week, namely a Cassini II out of Curioso Z. This is the full brother or sister of twofold reserve World Champion Casuality Z from Christiann Ahlmann.

This gray stallion was winner of two silver medals in the World Championships for 5- and 7-yr-old showjumping horses in Lanaken. This year, at CHIO Aachen, he finished first and third under Christian Ahlmann in the Youngster Tour. At CSIO5* Sankt Gallen Casuality, only an 8-yr-old, made his debut at 1.50m level and finished third. In the last edition of Aachen Casuality Z was for the first time started by Judy Ann Melchior. Rider and horse have meanwhile developed such a good tie that next week the Belgian lady rider will start Casuality at CSIO-5* in Barcelona.

Sire Cassini II, who died in 2011, is a true match in breeding for his 'big brother' Cassini I. He produced numerous licensed stallions and international showjumping horses. Dam Curioso Z (Chellano Z) is a half-sister to the 1.45m level showjumping horse Carige (Cassini I) and the 1.35m level placed Gentleman (Guidam). Grandam Ocay (Cambridge) is the half-sister of the 1.60m level showjumping horses Restless and Catija ET Z.

In the jumping direction, a similarly interesting embryo is up for auction this week, namely a Cassini II out of Curios Z. Or the full brother or sister of two-time reserve world champion Casuality Z ridden by Christiann Ahlmann.
